Superpower: Connecting distributed agile teams

Vincent Tietz is a Senior consultant and Scrum Master at Saxonia Systems in Dresden, Germany. Saxonia Systems has created the ETEO concept: Ein Team Ein Office, a set of best practices for distributed agile teams. The eteoBoard is part of this concept and consists of large monitors equipped with cameras, microphones, and a virtual task board set up to simulate face to face interaction as much as possible.

Saxonia Systmes has teams in different cities in Germany, with the main headquarters being in Dresden. The eteoBoard was initially built by their own developers because they were looking for a way to improve their daily stand ups between intercity teams. eteoBoards has helped the team get to know each other better, build trust, and stay on the same page.
